⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE: DIY UV STICKER APPLICATION & PERMANENT ADHESION
THE ZC KEYBOARD FEATURES UNPRINTED BLANK START KEYCAPS DESIGNED FOR DIY CUSTOMIZATION USING THE INCLUDED UV ADHESIVE STICKERS. UV stickers form a permanent adhesive bond immediately upon application. Take extreme care to align and position each decal accurately before pressing it onto the keycap surface. Gear Direct LLC is not responsible for misaligned stickers, crooked placement, unsatisfactory DIY aesthetic results, or keycap damage caused by attempted sticker removal or chemical solvent use.

1. Scope of Limited Hardware Warranty
Gear Direct LLC warrants to the original end-user purchaser ("Customer") that the ZC Custom Keyboard ("Product")—including its internal printed circuit board (PCB), switches, microcontrollers, USB cabling, and chassis frame — will be free from manufacturing defects in functional materials and electrical workmanship under normal computing use for one (1) year from the original retail purchase date.
This warranty applies solely to the original retail purchaser and requires valid proof of purchase.

2. Exclusive Remedy
In the event of a valid functional hardware defect arising during the 1-Year Warranty Period, Gear Direct LLC, at its sole discretion, will either:
1. Repair the internal electronic circuitry or switches using new or functional refurbished parts;
2. Replace the keyboard base unit with a new or reconditioned unit of equal functional capability; or
3. Refund the original net purchase price paid for the Product (less shipping and handling).

3. Specific UV Sticker & Keycap Customization Disclaimer

Because the ZC Keyboard involves user-applied custom graphics, specific conditions apply to keycaps and included UV sticker sheets:
• Permanent Adhesion & Alignment Errors: UV stickers adhere permanently to the keycap surface upon application. Misalignment, upside-down decal placement, air bubbles, or user errors during DIY sticker application do not constitute product manufacturing defects. Replacement sticker sheets or keycaps due to user application error are not covered under warranty.
• Sticker Removal Damage: Attempting to peel, scrape, or dissolve applied UV stickers using heat guns, sharp tools, or chemical solvents (such as acetone, alcohol, or adhesive removers) can permanently scratch or melt plastic keycaps and voids keycap warranty coverage.
• Friction Wear on Decals: Natural friction fading, edge lifting, or wear of UV decals from prolonged finger contact over extended usage is considered normal wear and tear and is excluded from coverage.

4. Limitation of Liability & Consequential Damages
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GEAR DIRECT LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES WHATSOEVER (INCLUDING DAMAGE TO DESK SURFACES, USER DISSATISFACTION WITH DIY CUSTOMIZATION RESULTS, SYSTEM DOWNTIME, OR PERSONAL INJURY) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT. IN ALL CASES, GEAR DIRECT LLC’S MAXIMUM TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID FOR THIS PRODUCT.

5. Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY STATED HEREIN, THIS PRODUCT IS PROVIDED "AS IS." GEAR DIRECT LLC DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6. Exclusions & Limitations
This Limited Warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:
• Liquid spills (coffee, water, soda), food particles, immersion, or chemical exposure;
• Drops, physical impacts, keycap yanking, or frame bending;
• Chemical damage to keycaps caused by applying unapproved adhesive solvents or abrasive cleaners;
• Unauthorized PCB soldering, switch hot-swap damage, or unapproved firmware modifications.

7. Warranty Claims & RMA Service
To initiate a warranty claim for functional electronic defects, contact Gear Direct LLC Support within the 1-year warranty period. Customer is responsible for return shipping packaging and freight costs to our designated service center.
